Job description

As a "Customer Engineer": you will oversee the propoer utilization of our automated control systems and our measurement devices.

  • Endorse the standard machines project management.
  • Ensure the proper and optimized set up of our machines and devices.
  • Analyze our customers production data to properly alignand integrate our machines into them.
  • Become a specialist of our systems for our customers.
  • Endorse and support the training on our devices for our customers, both in production and engineering.
  • Endorse the support and traininf of our field service technicians.
  • Become part of the technical team fo customization and speific tests required by our customers (along with our sales, engineering offices, and R&D).
  • Commit to support our customers on an everyday basis, through our aftersales servicing and support.
  • Commit to the continuous improvement training provided by the company to ensure proper knowledge of all new device's configurations and new technologies.
  • Report to R&D department any defects, errors, bugs encountered on the equipment's.
  • Be responsible for some administrative tasks :
    • Handle your expenses reports and expenses receipts for reimbursement.
    • Prepare your travels within the respect of the budgeted quotes (flights, hotels, rentals,...)
    • Fill up maintenance, installs, repairs, training reports and send these to appropriate groups.
    • Create procedures, troubleshooting notes or any documentation necessary to optimize the organization processes.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Mechatronic, Electronic, industrial IT bachelor's degree required.

Technical skills :

  • Computer skills :
    • Microsoft 365 suite (outlook, teams, SharePoint, forms, dynamics, project,...)
    • Basis office suite (word, excel, ppt, access,...)
    • SQL, PowerBI, R language, are optional but considered as a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics, drawings, bills of materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot automatic devices (pneumatics, electrical, mechanical).
  • Knowledge of the ophtalmic industry, and of the basic ophtalmic standard is plus.
  • Twin CAT programming basic knowledge is also a plus.

Required soft skills :

  • Being customer's oriented and willing to find proper set up and solutions for the customers.
  • Not afraid of travelling (20% to 50% of the time) in northern America (USA, Canada, Mexico).
  • Hold a proven team spirit and demonstrate the will to work along with the team.
  • Willing to be a part of organization continuously evolving and facing new challenges and technology.
  • Being inclined to take part of internal meetings with different departments to discuss specific topics and developments.
  • Autonomy and self-organization.
  • Willing to learn more and develop new skills through the time.
  • Values are based on respect and trust of others.

Languages :

  • English (fluent - both speaking and writing).
  • Spanish, French or Portuguese is a plus.
